Who are WE?

Tafaool Association

Tafaol Association is a Lebanese non-profit organization established in 2018 with registration number 1045. which aim to the help of all needy people, it is independent of the government and doesn’t belong to any political party. Tafaol always respects the dignity, values, history, religion, and culture of the people it serves, without discrimination. It works to reach the fields of health, protection, social, and education, to all people in need from children, People with disabilities, Elderly people, women, and men, with equality, transparency, and justice.

Tafaol has policies and procedures in place, which provide checks and balances for eliminating and reducing corruption, fraud and misconduct. All Tafaol staff receive a copy of the Code of Conduct for the Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse, Fraud and Corruption and Abuse of Power and are bound to adhere to the policy as a condition of employment. Since its registration in Lebanon, Tafaol has ensured that gender is addressed in program design, implementation, reporting, and recruitment of staff, at both management and field levels.

Activities & Programs

Health Sector

Tafaol operates 6 medical centers under the name of MASHAEL MEDICAL GROUP in the most poverty-stricken areas in Central & West Bekaa. Three of these centers focus on primary care health Network. The group in partnership with donors, UN agencies & INGO’s provides more than 100,000 services annually to beneficiaries and vulnerable people. These services include, but not limited to, Mental and Health Psycho-Social Support Services (MHPSS), Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRHR), Nutrition, awareness sessions for breastfeeding and lactating women, vaccination, screening to non-communicable diseases (NCDs).

 

Education

Tafaol operates 3 education centers that provides awareness sessions and training. Additionally, we execute projects related to Youth Function skills, Youth Basic Literacy and Numeracy, Digital platform through discovery platform, Life skills for Adolescent, TAVET & Teaching agenda, in addition to intensive work to improve and advance the educational level through coordination and follow-up with Official and Private schools and the Ministry of Education. We are certified by the Ministry of Education with EOI of YBLN.

Protection

Tafaol has established the HAQ Legal Center, which works on a file with a tight record of the members of the clans or Bedouins, forming a large number by working with committees, legal, and judicial in coordination with the Ministry of Interior and attempting to deal with this file in an appropriate manner. We have helped many stateless beneficiaries get their right by obtaining Lebanese ID's through the support of our lawyers. We also assist many refugees in registering birth certifications & marriage contracts. Additionally, we help many vulnerable individuals through cash assistant and referrals to other NGOs. We provide legal, psycho-social and gender assistance to violence survivors, especially women, but also children and the elderly.
